Religious Education

At St Joseph's, RE is at the heart of all that we do. 

As a Catholic school, we embrace the teachings of the Catholic Church and work closely with the local Catholic community.  In partnership with families and parishes, we support the children’s faith journeys and we ensure the Gospel values are central to our daily interactions as well as being the foundation of all our policies. 

We follow Come and See, the programme of study that integrates the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the Catholic Levels of Attainment and the new Religious Education Curriculum Directory.

At the heart of the programme is the mystery of God’s self revelation of love through Jesus Christ. Come and See gives pupils the opportunity to explore the mystery of faith through Scripture and Tradition.
